SKTCHD BOOK 2019

SKTCHD is a subscription comic site run by David Harper, and Off Panel is a weekly interview podcast hosted by David where some of the most notable people from around comics talk about their work and the industry. SKTCHD BOOK 2019 was a print annual collecting five of my favorite articles or podcasts from SKTCHD/Off Panel in 2019, and now, it's a PDF/eBook for your reading pleasure. It contains five stories, namely:

• The oral history of Marvel's 2006 event Annihilation
• The Revisitor column where I looked at Hellboy's "Pancakes" story with insight from Mike Mignola
• A transcription of my podcast with writer Jonathan Hickman about the X-Men relaunch
• My feature on the relationship between comics and libraries
• The debut of Comics, Seriously, which looked at Klaus Janson's cover to 1987's The Punisher #1, with the help of a weapons expert

It's 106 pages long, features original art from comic artist Tadd Galusha introducing four of the five stories, and has full color quote pages calling out some of my favorite quotes from the pieces (it does not have Hellboy's "Pancakes" in it like the print version, though). It's a labor of love, designed by my wife, written by me, and highlighting some super fun stories about comics. You might dig it. Give it a read, and please note, the images you see are from the print version. Obviously it would be less...foldy than that.
